La Porte Flight Attendant Honored as UNITED 100
On April 4, 2013 in Chicago, Kimberly Guettler was honored in the United 100 for her contributions as a member of the United Airlines flight crew for a heroic deed. The United100 honorees are selected from over 84,000 employees and are presented to any employee as a result of being selected by United panel of peers for going above and beyond the call of duty. In Kimberly’s case she took immediate action when a co-worker inadvertently put super glues in her eyes. Kimberly took immediate action by calling 911 and then rendering first aid given by the Poison Control Center until paramedics could arrive. La Porte is proud to have Kimberly as one of our citizens. Kimberly moved to La Porte in 1984 and has been a Flight Attendant with United Airlines formerly Continental since 1998.
